Citing the district’s dire financial situation, Muncie Community Schools officials are asking a state board to help cut money from the teacher contract. It’s been more than a year that the district and its teachers have been hashing out a new contract to replace one from 2014. , The district wants the Indiana Education Employment Relations Board to order about 6 million dollars in cuts to that accord.
