Protesters were on Monument Circle Tuesday to denounce the hotly debated Dakota Access Pipeline. The protesters were accompanied by a heavy police presence, as they demonstrated outside of the Chase Bank building on Monument Circle for about an hour before heading to the Indiana State House. Chase Bank is reportedly one of several banks that is helping fund the building of an oil pipeline through certain parts of North and South Dakota.
