Police say a late night fire in the Old West End neighborhood appears to be a case of arson. The call came in at about 11:40pm from the 100 block of South Council Street. When police got there they put the blaze out. An investigator determined it had been intentionally set. There were no injuries reported related to the fire itself, but one person was taken away by ambulance. Damage to the house wasn’t extensive. No word on any suspect in the case.
