Muncie’s Turkey Lady Has Beer Named After Her

Muncie’s Turkey Lady is being paid homage in a new beer. Necla Ozsu died in 2001 but was a familiar sight on the streets of the city for many year. She had white hair that could be spotted from far away and could be heard speaking in Turkish, the language of her native Turkey. In 2001, she was sent to a nursing home and died some time later. Now she’s being remembered in Guardian Brewing’s Turkey Lady Cranberry Saison, or pale ale.
