A case involving missing funds in the town of Gaston has been turned over to the Delaware County prosecutor’s office. An audit found that former Gaston clerk-treasurer Krista Harris failed to account for several thousand dollars worth of town funds. Authorities contend that with investigative costs, penalites and interest factored in, she owes the town close to $6500. Concerns had been raised about the bookeeping in Gaston under Harris’ watch dating back to 2013.
