Jury Fails To Reach Verdict in Triple Murder Case

A jury has failed to reach a verdict in the triple slaying trial of a 19-year-old Fort Wayne man. The Journal-Gazette reports the jury deliberated for more than eight hours Thursday before telling the judge they couldn’t reach a verdict in the trial of Artavius Richards. Prosecutors say the February killings of three men happened during a robbery gone wrong. A judge has set a November date to meet with attorneys to decide whether Richards’ case should be dismissed or retried.
