Court Docs Indicate Feud Lead to Fatal Shooting

An ongoing feud lead to a shooting that left a New Castle man dead, according to court documents. The Star Press reports that 24 year old Devin Asberry, 27 year old Tyler Pennington and 26 year old Camron Perkins broke into a home on the 62-hundred block of South 325-W at about 3 Sunday morning. One of the men shot at the scene, 23 year old Chancellor Smith, later died of his injuries. Pennington’s girlfriend is a former girlfriend of the second shooting vicitm Jessie Fulton. The gunmen had gone to the home to confront Fulton and to steal a safe they believed to contain drugs and money.
