An 18-year-old Portland man has been accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl. Brandon Gerald Walker has been charged with rape, a Level 3 felony carrying a standard nine-year prison term. Walker, whose bond was set at $30,000, participated in an initial hearing on Tuesday. Jay Circuit Court Judge Brian Hutchison recused himself from presiding over the case. A special judge will now be appointed, along with a public defender to represent Walker.
