An Anderson house fire claimed the lives of two pets and left the home suffering severe damage. The human occupants of home in the 400 block of East 36th Street weren’t there when the blaze broke out. It took 16 firefighters about 90 minutes to extinguish the fire that was mostly contained to a living room and front bedroom. The damage is estimated to be about $30,000. The cause is still under investigation.
