A Ball State University student is suing the school after losing two fingers. In October of 2014, the student was attaching a banner to a billboard known as the “fly swatter” near the scramble light at Riverside and McKinley avenues. The heavy sign slipped and severed her fingers. A spokesperson says that students are no longer permitted to operate the billboard.
