New supermarket slated for Muncie

A new food shopping option coming to Muncie. Ownership says the Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market will open in early 2018 along McGalliard Road. They’ll build a store behind Chick-fil-A and CARite in the 500 block. It’s expected to be about 28 thousand square feet on a five acre lot with around 200 parking spaces. Officials also say the opening of the store will bring with it, more than 80 jobs with average salaries around $35,000.
