A man was arrested early Thursday after he allegedly robbed a convenience store near the Ball State University campus. The Star Press reports that the bandit entered the Marathon station on West Bethel Ave., walked around the counter, threatened a clerk with a handgun and demanded cash. 25-year-old Cameron Fouche-Holmes of South Bend allegedly admitted to the holdup, telling the arresting officer he needed rent money to avoid being evicted.
