A man was killed in a single vehicle crash in Blackford County Sunday. Police say the pick up truck being driven by 43 year old Steven Spaulding of Montpelier was headed east on Warren Avenue at about 3am when it left the road on a curve and hit a tree. Investigators say Spaulding was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. They also there is no indication the brakes were used prior to the crash. They believe alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
