They’re getting new mattresses, but not the soft, fluffy kind. Inmates in the Delaware County jail will soon see an upgrade, but not one they’ll like. Sheriff Ray Dudley plans to buy 290 new mattresses for inmates that would be tough enough to discourage vandalism and the hiding of contraband.
