Heroin OD’s spike in Muncie over weekend

Heroin overdoses surged over the weekend in Delaware County and officials say it’s because a new, deadly form of the drug has surfaced here. The Star Press reports EMS personnel responded to between seven and ten OD calls between Friday and Sunday. Typically, they answer one to two such calls a week. They believe the heroin being used by many now comes from the Dayton area.
