Authorities in Madison County are searching for a driver who ran into a horse drawn carriage and fled the scene. The Herald Bulletin reports that an 18-year-old man was driving a carriage southbound on County Road 300 East when it was rear-ended by a pick-up truck. The passengers were thrown from the carriage which was completely destroyed. One of the horses had to be put down on the scene.
