A near head-on crash in northern Blackford County Wednesday afternoon left a Hartford City woman and a child with serious injuries. It happened on SR18 east of CR100E, when 24-year-old Jestine Hayworth crossed the center line and was hit by a semi. Hayworth was taken to IU Health Ball Hospital in stable condition; the child in Hayworth’s car was lifelined to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
