Recent inspections turned up some issues at area child care centers and other facilities. Among those cited, reports the Star Press, was Huffer Memorial Children’s Center, which carries a strong reputation. It was cited for 13 violations at its location on 2000 North Elgin Street where 172 children are served. Also, Kidz Korner on North Jefferson was cited for harsh or humiliating disciplinary standards.
