Charges are being considered against an 86-year-old Muncie man in a wheelchair who shot a female acquaintance in his southeastside home. The Star Press reports it happened in a home on the 3100 block of East Muse Street. The woman, 56 years old, was hit in the thigh and treated at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. The two had been arguing over the woman’s failure to return the man’s debit card. He claims he didn’t know if the gun loaded or was operable when he picked it up during the fight.
