A Grant County man convicted of battering his son at the Madison County 4-H Fair two years ago has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. 37-year-old Justin Messersmith was apparently driving home from Indianapolis when he was stopped for speeding on Indiana 37. The arresting officer allegedly smelled alcohol during the stop and saw an open container in the vehicle.
