Flooding Fix For Madison Street Underpass

Just a day after heavy rains flooded the south side of Muncie, work has begun to fix the flooding problems at the Madison Street underpass. Muncie Sanitary District officials in 2015 said the plan was to pump flood water out of the underpass to a raised holding tank 15 feet above the low spot. From there, storm water would be pumped to the downtown system.
