Muncie Community Schools says the quarter of a million dollars needed to stabilize Muncie Fieldhouse cannot come at the expense of facilities that are used by all students, rather than mostly athletes. Officials say they are committed to finding a way to keep the iconic structure open after an engineer’s report found significant settling in parts of the Fieldhouse, especially on the east side.
