It was a power outage that affected nearly 4,000 Anderson residents. A malfunctioning lightning arrester is being blamed for the outage that left the west side and parts of downtown Anderson without juice. Director of Anderson Light and Power, Tony Pochard says a lightning arrester is similar to a surge protector.
