Police and fire crews in Elwood were kept busy Thursday after a natural gas leak. A homeowner near 19th and South D streets reported the smell of gas and crews taking readings confirmed it. The homeowner was evacuated and streets were blocked off from traffic while repairs were made. No injuries were reported
