A Muncie man has been arrested for beating his girlfriend just two days before he is scheduled to go on trial for attacking his brother with a sledgehammer. Police say Steven Adkins was arrested early yesterday and charged after a fight in his home around midnight. He’s being held in jail with a $15,000 bond. His trial for battery, strangulation and public intoxication begins Wednesday in Circuit Court 3. He’s accused of hitting his brother in the face with a sledgehammer in February.
