A late-Saturday night fire caused extensive damage to a portion of a popular store. The Portland Fire Department called to the Fisher Meats location at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday. It took twenty firefighters about three hours to limit most of the damage to the butcher area and kept the fire from reaching the storefront. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The company says the Portland location is closed today, but hopes to re-open Tuesday.
