Two major paving projects are in the works, and city of Anderson officials are asking the state to pay. If the request is ok’d, the state’s Community Crossroads program will pay half of the project’s cost. Anderson is expecting to receive nearly$3 million from the state’s reserve fund. State law requires it to use about $2.2 million of that on infrastructure improvements. The application is due on Friday, and the city is paying an Indianapolis contractor $15,000 to help submit it.
