Restaurant owner facing animal abuse charges

A local restaurant owner is being charged with 16 counts of animal cruelty. Dion Sloss is charged after six Beagle puppies were found starved to death at his home. Another 10 were found living in standing water or on piles of feces and did not have fresh food or water. Sloss owns Pitts Bar-B-Cue on North Walnut Street. He’s been summoned to court on July 11th.
