Indiana’s new abortion law to prohibit abortions sought solely because a fetus has a genetic disability will not go into effect on July 1st. A Federal Judge granted a preliminary injunction against the state brought by Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky. Opponents say the new ban infringes on a woman’s right to seek an abortion. Supporters of the law say it protects against discrimination based on disability. Till the case is settled, it won’t be in effect.
