Indiana Closing Henryville Prison

Indiana is closing one of its prisons next month. The Henryville prison will close when the new fiscal year starts July 1. The Department of Correction says a rewrite of Indiana’s criminal code to make prison time less common for low-level offenders has cut the statewide prison population by four-percent. Henryville staff will be offered jobs at Madison, Branchville or Edinburgh.
