In Anderson, a man who serves as a board member for a domestic violence program has been arrested for suspected domestic battery. Vern Pflugh Jr. resigned from his board position and says he is being falsely accused. His estranged wife told police he barged into her unlocked apartment demanding to see their infant son and strangled her. He has a September 19th court date in Madison County Circuit Court.
