Anderson Seeks Bridge Funding

Maybe the eighth time is the charm. Anderson City Council is hoping to secure a federal grant to provide 75 percent of the $18 million cost to replace the Eisenhower Bridge, which carries Eighth Street over the White River near downtown Anderson. Mayor Thomas Broderick Jr. says headway was made during a recent visit to Washington, in a lobbying effort to secure the grant.
