A little more than three weeks before the primary election, another presidential campaign has set up shop in Muncie.
The local campaign for Hillary Clinton kicked off Monday evening at Democratic Party Headquarters at 214 N. Walnut St. The Muncie opening coincided with Clinton campaign headquarters opening Sunday and Monday in Fort Wayne and Lafayette, respectively. For Clinton’s supporters, a campaign return to Muncie is a flashback to 2008, when Clinton opened a local office on Madison Street downtown in the building that is now home to Open Door’s health clinic. Also in 2008, Barack Obama opened a Muncie office along University Avenue near Ball State University.
