Poison Prevention Week highlights common but unusual household poisons

This is Poison Prevention Week, and Anderson Fire Department is warning people of the dangers of common household poisons, like hand sanitizers, button-size batteries, those attractive laundry detergent packets, even e-cigarettes and of course, medications. According to a release, just three squirts of a hand sanitizer can poison a small child. Fire Chief Dave Cravens says it’s important to know which items in your home pose serious dangers and take the right steps to protect your kids.
