Joey Feek, one half of country music duo Joey + Rory and an Alexandria native is nearing the end of her journey. Joey was first diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2014. She stopped treatment this past October and returned to her childhood home near Alexandria for hospice care. Her husband Rory writes in his blog “This Life I Lead” that Joey has been asleep for several days and her body is shutting down quickly.
