Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies will soon begin carrying Narcan. It is the first law enforcement agency in the county to be trained and equipped to administer the medication used to save lives in the case of heroin overdose. All deputies will be trained to recognize signs of opioid overdoses and administration of the medication. Training is expected to be completed by mid-March.
