A Carmel man who sexually assaulted a Ball State University student has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. 26-year-old Aaron Jeffrey King was found guilty of rape, criminal deviate conduct, criminal confinement and strangulation in the 2013 attack. King – a former Ball State student – had been accused of assaulting the woman, who had been his girlfriend during their high school years, in her northwest-side apartment.
