Another Delaware County landmark has vanished. For decades the ice cream shop known as the DELTA QUEEN in Royerton was the “go to” place for those wanting a sweet treat. Built in 1969, the structure was demolished with little fanfare Tuesday. There’s been no official announcement as to the future use of the property; speculation is that it will become the site of a new Dollar General store.
