A class-action lawsuit for unlawful termination is going on against Anderson and former Anderson Mayor Kevin Smith after 11 people in his city office were fired after he took office in 2012. The 11 workers claim it was because they supported the democratic candidate for Mayor. Smith says the firings were not politically motivated and he tried to find the best qualified people to do the work. The trial continues in Indianapolis.
