A murder trial is set to begin Monday in Delaware Circuit Court for Juan Hernandez, accused of killing a Muncie man last January in Daleville. Hernandez is facing murder and assault charges for injuring the victim’s wife, who tried to defend her husband, Mark Hittson. The victim was stabbed over 20 times at a truck terminal in a romantic dispute. According to court papers, the victim never saw the attack coming. Hernandez reportedly told the woman, Teresa Hittson, that he would kill her husband if they reconciled. Hernandez and the woman became romantically involved when she separated from the victim.
