A Muncie woman was attacked by her former roommate, according to police, and suffered cuts to her face, neck and arms yesterday. She was taken by ambulance to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. The woman police say who attacked her with a knife was 65-year-old Betty Brooks, who lived with the woman for an extended period but whose relationship had ended. Brooks was also taken to the hospital, and when she’s released, police say they’ll charge her with aggravated battery. If she’s convicted of that charge, she could face 16 years in prison.
