A South Bend man has been arrested after allegedly using counterfeit checks to buy thousands of dollars’ worth of appliances at six Menards stores, including Anderson, Muncie, Marion, Kokomo and Indianapolis. 22-year-old Scottie Terrell Nelson has been charged with felony forgery and theft. He has open cases with similar charges in Howard and Marion counties.
