And then there were two. The Republican race to replace Senator Dan Coats is now down to two men: Todd Young and Marlin Stutzman. Third candidate Eric Holcomb suspended his campaign Monday, just twelve days after throwing his hat into the ring. Holcomb reportedly had difficulty raising enough money to compete.
Republicans now have a four-way race to replace Greg Zoeller as attorney general. Logansport Senator Randy Head notes he’s the only candidate with legislative experience. And the former Cass County prosecutor boasts he’s tried more cases than his three opponents. The field now features two prosecutors and two candidates with experience in the attorney general’s office, with Senator Head and Elkhart County Prosecutor Curtis Hill facing off against former Attorney General Steve Carter and deputy attorney general Abby Kuzma.
