It’s new protective gear for Anderson fire crews. The Board of Public Safety will spend nearly 225-thousand dollars to purchase turnout gear for 86 firefighters.
The money is already appropriated and will come from the department’s 2016 building and equipment fund. The life of the turnout gear is normally five years.
