Delaware County Sheriff Ray Dudley this week made an informal request for an additional $800,000 from City Council to fight drugs and replace old vehicles. The Sheriff told council members that his department needs more jail officers and more cruisers. He told the Star Press that he hopes Council will earmark new money from the new local public safety income tax to pay for the department’s needs.
