An IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital pharmacy tech has had her license suspended indefinitely for taking a powerful painkiller for her personal use. Jennifer Everitt from Alexandria reportedly told her employer that in 2014, she diverted hydrocodone for herself by either adding doses to doctor’s orders or requesting doses for patients who had standing orders for the painkiller. She was placed on leave and the Board of Pharmacy has suspended her license for at least two years, with a plan for reinstatement that includes treatment, counseling, education and assessment that she’s got her addiction under control.
